Complex Safeguarding Conference 2019

Complex Safeguarding is criminal activity (often organised), or behaviour associated to criminality, involving vulnerable children and adults where there is exploitation and / or a clear or implied safeguarding concern. This includes, but is not limited to, Child Criminal Exploitation (CCE), County Lines, Modern Slavery including Trafficking and Child Sexual Exploitation.

Keynote speakers include Dean Coady OBE, Managing Director of Urban Pure Solutions, Gail Hopper, Director of Children’s Services and Michael Martin from Home Office Immigration Enforcement. There will also be workshops on a variety of complex safeguarding issues.

The conference is aimed at practitioners, managers and safeguarding leads working with vulnerable children and adults. This conference follows our successful Complex Safeguarding Conference held in October 2018, and provides an update over the last six months. However some content might be repeated.
