Keeping children safe in education

This page has been compiled to support schools & colleges in meeting the Keeping Children Safe in Education requirements and whilst not intended to be exhaustive, seeks to provide easy access to a key documents  and resources.

The Department for Education (DfE) has recently published 2 new guidance documents on keeping children safe in education, which will come into effect on 3 September 2018. Schools and colleges must continue to have regard to Keeping children safe in education 2016 until this point. The NSPCC has published a briefing on the key updates
